Unique Soul Catering LLC was formed in 2013 by Chef Cindy Carter Hodges and Chef Tanisha Roberson. Unique Soul Catering is a growing catering company that specializes in all ethnicities of food. Unique Soul Catering offers customized menus, not cookie cutter menus that are impersonal and can be costly. Unique Soul Catering offers exceptional customer service because we pay attention to detail to create a catering experience that is one of a kind. Thus our motto “Let Us Make Your Vision an Edible Reality.”

UNIQUE SOUL CATERING’S ACCOMPLISHMENTS

In August of 2016, Unique Soul Catering added to their arsenal a fully self-contained mobile kitchen called the “RIG”. We are fast approaching the end of the second concert season at the Concord Pavilion, Concord California on the Westside, the hillside of the venue. Unique Soul Catering on the “RIG” has served thousands of people during these seasons.

In 2017 we worked at the Janet Jackson’s State of the World Tour, KBLX  20th Anniversary Stone Soul, Hot Summer Nights,headliners Ja Rule and Ashanti, Luke Bryan’s Kill the Lights Tour and I Love the Nineties headliners TLC, just to name a few. In 2018 we have worked theKBLX Stone Soul, Steve Miller and Peter Frampton, Chicago, Joan Jett, Styx, Comedy Get Down, Kevin Hart Let Me Explain Tour, Chris Brown Heartbreak on a Full Moon Tour just to name a few.

Unique Soul Catering is building their brand by serving the “Best” Soul, Cajun and Creole food in the Bay Area. What Unique Soul Catering prides themselves on is their famous Southern fried chicken and New Orleans Camelia Red Beans.

Unique Soul Catering LLC., is a full-service gourmet catering company who invites people on a worldly food experience of taste and ingredients without leaving their own community. Unique Soul Caterings mission on the “RIG” is to provide Californians with a distinctively, inexpensive, high quality gourmet foods which is aesthetically appealing to the eyes and delightfully pleasing to the palate served from a mobile platform.

F.O.O.D FEEDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR OAKLAND DEPENDENTS AND THE HIPHOP PROJECT HUNGER INTERVENTION PROGRAM HELPING OTHER PEOPLE

Since the inception of the F.O.O.D program and the HIPHOP Project, in August 2017, the program has feed over 2000 homeless, houseless and working poor in the Oakland Area. The Co-Founders and Chefs, Cindy Carter-Hodges and Tanisha Roberson. Have made it their passion to bless others as they have been blessed. What better way to bless people through food. To have the ability to feed people a "spiritually nutritional meal" that feeds the mind, body and spirit is a gift. F.O.O.D and the HIPHOP Project is an innovative and groundbreaking program which started as a whisper, then a conversation, and now a reality! The project utilizes a 24-ft. trailer known as the "RIG." The "RIG" is a trailer that is a fully self-contained mobile kitchen, where fresh, hot meals are prepared to feed on a massive scale.

This project has the capacity to service homeless encampments, houseless populations and the working poor in Oakland, the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond. The HIPHOP movement and the F.O.O.D program are committed to teach community building through service to others and to provide outreach services that will refresh, reassure, enhance, teach and provide spiritual guidance to a city, community and nation. The Chefs have appeared on the Black Renaissance Show hosted by Christin Ayers on 44 Cable 12 KBCW, in September 2017. This show focuses on issues of concern in the African American Communities. Also, HIPHOP feed over 200 people in the community free hot dogs, chips and water at the BBQing While Black at Lake Merritt in May 2018.
